Apartments highlight along the main streets. Commercial districts, schools, and municipal areas can also be chosen.
After you have decided, press the Claim button. The street will change to magenta.
As soon as you claim your first street, you’ll have a chance to choose another. That’s totally up to you. Claim up to two streets.
After you prayed for your street(s), press the Cover button. Your street(s) will change to teal.
Every Monday at 12:01 AM local time, all streets reset to Claimed…and we will pray again.
You can make changes to your street(s) at any time on the My Streets & Settings page.

Prayer Cover is designed to encourage present, quiet, faithful prayer for real people and real places. Participation is voluntary and centered on prayerful presence.
While we heartily encourage present, in-person prayer, physical presence on a street is not required. Streetkeepers may pray while walking, while driving, from home, or from any safe location.
Prayer Cover does not organize events, supervise participants, or direct individuals beyond their selected street. Each participant acts independently and uses personal judgment.
Participants should remain in public spaces, respect private property, and exercise normal awareness and personal safety at all times.
If walking, remain aware of your surroundings. If driving, continue as you normally would and avoid engaging in situations that feel unsafe.
If you ever feel unsafe, remove yourself from the situation. If needed, contact local authorities.
At times, you may encounter situations that are uncomfortable, disturbing, or offensive. These are not to be taken personally, but may serve as opportunities for prayer.
If you observe situations where help is clearly needed, we encourage you to bring those concerns to your local church leadership for guidance and appropriate response.
If someone asks what you are doing, a simple and appropriate response is: “I’m praying for the people who live and work here.”

Prayer Cover is designed to grow through both individual Streetkeepers and local churches. It is our prayer that this will create a dynamic relationship for concerted, organized prayer over our communities.

We had an idea to divide up our town by streets and sections and ask people to assign themselves to be a prayerful watchguard over their area. To know it, to take responsibility in prayer for those people–all those people who need Jesus in every way, every day.
First we thought maybe we would purchase a big map, copy it, cut it up, and let people take their sections home. Too much paper. Too many highlighters. Some ideas are just not meant to be.
Then came an election night. Watching the map change colors gave such a strong impression of what was actually happening. You could see it. It was tangible.
And we knew then that this was the way–an electronic map!! Now since we are still writing our grocery lists on paper instead of talking into our watches, this was quite a novel undertaking. But we knew, in our bones, that God was calling us to follow Him, to believe Him when He said that the harvest is plentiful. And to ask Him to send forth laborers into His field. (ref. Matthew 9:37, 38).
So that is what we’re doing.
By creating Prayer Cover, we are creating a framework to help God’s people fan out into their neighborhoods and cities and PRAY. This is not about activism or rallies or preaching, but about prayer. Prayers for salvation, for blessing, for healing, for peace and deliverance. Prayers because God requires prayer to act. Prayers because, for reasons known only to Him, He wants us to be a part of what He is doing. He is WAITING on us. To ask. To plead. To intervene. To show up.
